GetYourGuide is seeking a Financial Reporting Manager to join the Financial Reporting team within Group Reporting. This role is central to the company's finance function, owning the preparation and review of external financial statements under IFRS and serving as a trusted technical accounting authority across the business.
You will lead key parts of the financial reporting cycle, bridging accounting policy and business operations. Your responsibilities include preparing and reviewing the group's external financial statements under IFRS, drafting technical accounting memos and position papers on complex topics, and presenting positions to senior management and external auditors. You'll collaborate across functions—including Accounting, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Legal, and Corporate Development—to gather information and produce accurate, complete financial and non-financial disclosures.
Additionally, you will lead the team's monitoring of IFRS developments, assess their impact on GetYourGuide's reporting, and drive clear recommendations to senior stakeholders. You'll also drive continuous improvement in reporting processes, accounting policies, and documentation standards.
GetYourGuide operates a hybrid model with three days in-office collaboration (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday) and two days of optional at-home focus time. REQUIREMENTS:
- 8+ years of financial reporting experience, combining a foundation in Big 4 audit with meaningful in-house or industry experience
- Strong command of IFRS (US GAAP or HGB knowledge is a plus)
- Proven track record preparing and reviewing financial statements and disclosures
- Ability to draft and defend technical accounting positions under scrutiny
- Skilled at working across functions and translating complex financial and non-financial knowledge into decision-useful information
- Rigorous and deadline-driven, with ability to manage competing priorities without compromising quality or accuracy
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent)
PLUS (preferred):
- Prior exposure to complex, high-stakes reporting projects (fundraising, M&A, significant corporate transactions)
- Experience upskilling teams through training, knowledge-sharing sessions, or building internal guides and frameworks
- Hands-on experience using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) to improve reporting workflows and automate routine tasks
