Salary: USD 61,740 - 75,000 / annual
Onbe is a fast-growing fintech company specializing in digital payments and disbursement solutions. As a Financial Operations Staff Accountant, you will be a key member of the Financial Operations team, responsible for ensuring the completeness and integrity of financial records across the organization.
Your primary responsibilities include performing routine reconciliations of financial records such as bank statements, accounts payable and receivable, and general ledger accounts. You will identify and help resolve discrepancies in financial data, escalating complex issues as needed to senior team members. You'll ensure accuracy in financial transaction entry, maintain organized records and supporting documentation, and assist in preparing standard financial reports and summaries for internal use.
You will work closely with the finance team and other departments to support day-to-day accounting operations while following internal controls and company policies to maintain compliance with accounting standards and audit requirements. The role also includes exploring opportunities for process automation and implementing tools or systems to enhance efficiency in reconciliation tasks.
Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) and 3+ years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role. You should have familiarity with general accounting principles and basic financial reporting, proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Great Plains experience is a plus), high attention to detail, and strong written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance in finance and accounting is essential.
