Tensec is a global fintech founded in 2023 that enables small and medium-sized businesses to access global transaction banking solutions. The company is backed by top venture capital firms including Quiet Capital, Costanoa Ventures, and Coinbase Ventures, with a team distributed across San Francisco, New York, Miami, Monterrey, and São Paulo.
As a Financial Operations Analyst, you will be responsible for processing daily disbursements for Tensec's Brazil operations. Your core responsibilities include validating payment instructions against internal records before disbursement, reconciling disbursement activity against bank statements and internal systems, and identifying discrepancies before they become client-facing issues.
Day-to-day work involves processing batches of disbursements, checking each transaction against underlying payment instructions, confirming settlement with banking partners, and reconciling outbound payments against expected amounts. You will maintain accurate records and trackers of disbursement activity, support month-end reporting on disbursement volumes and reconciliation status, and escalate any discrepancies, delays, or unusual patterns to your manager and the Finance Operations team.
You will also coordinate with banking partners to confirm settlement and follow up on delays or exceptions, and assist with ad hoc financial operations requests as the Brazil business scales.
The ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience in finance operations, treasury operations, or payments/disbursements processing at a bank, fintech, or financial services company. You should have working knowledge of Brazilian payment rails, strong attention to detail, comfort with spreadsheets and data reconciliation across multiple sources, and working proficiency in English. You must be based in or able to work from São Paulo.
This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days per week in the São Paulo office. The company offers competitive base salary, health insurance, meal vouchers, paid time off, local statutory holidays, and a learning and development budget.
