The Financial Crime Compliance Assurance Manager will lead efforts to strengthen finance and risk management processes, ensuring customer and business safety in a fast-moving digital environment. This role sits within the Compliance team, which blends regulatory expertise with data-driven thinking to keep products aligned with legal and policy requirements. Key responsibilities include: - Designing and implementing compliance testing and assurance programmes, including risk-based compliance assessments, control testing, and assurance planning - Conducting assurance reviews and testing activities using advanced data analytics - Building automated queries and dashboards to enable more frequent and insightful testing - Identifying opportunities to improve regulatory adherence and company standards - Managing remediation project execution, including process updates, documentation, and training - Driving multi-jurisdictional compliance reviews and producing management reporting on findings - Challenging colleagues to build efficient, world-class risk management controls - Leveraging data analytics to surface actionable insights that materially enhance the control environment Requirements: - 3+ years of experience in financial crime risk within fintech, traditional financial institutions, or regulatory bodies - Relevant experience in assurance, internal audit, or external audit with focus on risk and compliance - Demonstrated experience in controls, risk, and policy/procedure testing - Strong stakeholder engagement skills to hold first line of defense accountable for regulatory compliance - Ability to interrogate large datasets and identify actionable insights - Results-driven, pragmatic, detail-oriented approach - Interest in compliance with willingness to deepen knowledge - Experience creating or utilizing test scripts and procedures - Relevant financial crime and compliance qualifications (ACAMS, ICA preferred) - Fluency in English Nice-to-have skills: - Payment screening, regulatory reporting, SAR filing, external enquiries experience - Knowledge of sanctions and PEP regulations - Expertise in rule-based or model-based AML transaction monitoring, threshold tuning, below-the-line testing - Experience identifying and preventing onboarding risks (KYC/KYB) - FCA regulations and EU AML directives assessment experience - Customer risk scoring and segmentation design/implementation/testing - SQL and/or Python data analytics skills
