Salary: USD 105,000 - 120,000 / annual
TuneCore (owned by Believe) is seeking a Financial & Business Performance Analyst to support financial planning, performance analysis, and decision-making across the organization. This role is central to delivering accurate forecasts, clear reporting, and actionable insights that drive informed business decisions in a fast-paced, content-driven music and entertainment environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Analysis: Support preparation and management of budgets, forecasts, and reforecasts across departments. Analyze actuals versus budget to identify variances, trends, risks, and opportunities. Maintain financial tracking tools and support budget control processes. Assist with month-end and quarter-end reporting.
Business Performance & Reporting: Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends and performance drivers. Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualizations. Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders. Support ad hoc analyses for business cases, resource planning, and strategic initiatives.
Cross-Functional Partnership: Partner with stakeholders across the business to gather inputs, validate assumptions, and explain results. Present findings clearly to support decision-making. Contribute to improving reporting processes, data quality, and overall financial visibility.
Industry-Specific Analysis: Support analysis related to music, publishing, royalties, or catalog performance. Help connect financial outcomes to underlying business drivers in the dynamic music and content space.
The role is based in TuneCore's Dumbo, Brooklyn office and operates on a hybrid model. Employees are expected to work from the office 8 days per month on a flexible schedule organized at the department level.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, controlling, or business performance roles
- Strong analytical skills with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills
- Experience with BI or reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker) preferred
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
- Ability to communicate complex information clearly to non-finance audiences
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Experience in music, publishing, media, or entertainment is a plus
