Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced autonomous systems, AI, and computer vision. The Maritime Dominance division builds advanced autonomous undersea vehicle systems (AUVs) like Dive-LD and Copperhead, scaling from rapid development through production.
As a Financial Analyst II, you will provide dedicated finance support to the Undersea Reconnaissance & Strike Business Line within the Maritime Division. Your primary focus is tracking and forecasting the cost build-up of hardware programs—understanding how material, labor, and overhead flow through each stage of the product lifecycle and translating that into reliable baselines, forecasts, and variance analysis.
You will work closely with Program Managers, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Accounting to ensure cost visibility keeps pace with program execution. This role requires someone who can operate autonomously, drive projects from inception to completion, and communicate financial performance clearly to cross-functional stakeholders.
Key responsibilities:
- Own program-level cost forecasting and EAC/ETC (Estimate at Completion / Estimate to Complete) development for hardware programs transitioning from development to production
- Build and maintain bottoms-up cost models that capture material, labor, overhead, and subcontract elements across the hardware build cycle
- Track actuals against baselines, identify variances, and drive root-cause analysis with program teams
- Support the development and improvement of forecasting workflows in FP&A and ERP tools (Oracle, Hyperion EPM, Foundry)
- Contribute to long-range planning and production rate ramp financial modeling
- Drive continuous improvement in reporting accuracy, data integrity, and process efficiency
REQUIREMENTS:
- 1–3 years of experience in FP&A, program finance, or cost analysis, preferably in an environment that manufactures or integrates hardware
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and carry projects forward with minimal direction
- Excellent communication skills—comfortable presenting financial narratives and variance explanations to non-finance stakeholders
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- DoD industry experience or familiarity with government contract cost accounting (FAR/CAS)
- Security clearance (or ability to obtain one)
- Exposure to supply chain or manufacturing finance
- Experience building or managing cost models for physical products (BOM-based costing, production cost build-ups, or similar)
- Strong understanding of how material, labor, and indirect costs flow through a manufacturing or defense program lifecycle
- Proficiency with financial systems and data tools; experience with ERP platforms (Oracle preferred)
