Believe, a global artist development company operating in 50+ countries, is seeking a Senior Business Controller to join the Artist Services (AS) Business Controlling team in Paris. This role supports the Head of Artist Service Controlling within a PE-backed, fast-growing organization.
The AS Business Line is a key growth driver, dedicated to supporting independent artists across all music genres through audience development, publishing, marketing, and distribution services. The controlling team acts as a critical Finance Business Partner, supporting performance monitoring, strategic decision-making, and continuous business model optimization.
You will work within a team of 3 people in a dynamic international environment, collaborating extensively with central and local sales teams across multiple geographies.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Controlling: Perform monthly closing tasks on P&L and Balance Sheet; conduct analytical reviews from Revenue to EBITDA, including working capital and ROCE analysis; drive automation, process rationalization, and efficiency improvements across closing activities in collaboration with other finance teams.
Business Partnering: Support the business in monitoring and transformation initiatives in close collaboration with AS Central Sales team; contribute to designing a structured analytical framework to monitor AS performance and drive strategic decisions; support initiatives to optimize working capital, cash flow, and capital allocation; act as a business partner with local sales and finance teams.
Budget & Forecast: Set the framework to ensure the budget exercise tracks proper execution of strategy and Group business plan; oversee integrity of budgeting tools and collaborate on tools enhancement; support local and business teams during budget processes, challenging projections to ensure financial objectives are met.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
- 4–5 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Business Finance, Audit/Transaction Services, or similar role
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets and PowerPoint/Google Slides
- Hands-on experience with Power BI, PowerQuery/AppScript, and Generative AI tools (highly preferred)
- Solid understanding of finance and accounting principles
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Working proficiency in English and French (essential)
- Team spirit and ability to work effectively in a collaborative, dynamic environment
