Viva.com is Europe's first Tech Bank for businesses, operating across 29 countries with a comprehensive platform for omnichannel payment acceptance, deposit accounts, card issuing, financing solutions, and fiscalisation services. The company pioneered Tap on Any Device technology and is licensed by the UK Financial Conduct Authority. As a Field Sales Executive, you will drive business development for Viva's payment solutions targeting SME retail and hospitality businesses in the Newcastle region. You will be based in the field, visiting customers Monday to Friday, combining self-generated prospecting with provided sales leads to build a pipeline of new merchant clients. Key responsibilities include: arranging and conducting face-to-face business meetings with prospects; evaluating prospect needs and presenting Viva's payment card terminals and merchant acquiring services; closing sales and converting leads into customers; obtaining referrals from existing clients; networking and canvassing for new opportunities; maintaining accurate CRM records; and continuously learning from colleagues. You should bring B2B sales expertise at mid-to-senior level, with a proven track record of consistently hitting sales quotas in SME retail or hospitality sectors. Strong presentation and negotiation skills are essential, along with proficiency in CRM systems, resilience in handling objections, and a results-driven mindset. You must have a valid UK driving license and be willing to use your own vehicle for business (expenses covered). A good understanding of IT and web-based applications is required; experience in banking, card terminals, or fintech is advantageous but not essential. The role offers a competitive sales bonus structure, private medical insurance, car/mobility allowance, mobile and laptop provisions, fuel and parking expense coverage, comprehensive training and ongoing support, and opportunities for progressive career growth within an international, collaborative fintech environment.
