Anysphere, maker of Cursor (an AI-native code editor), is hiring a Field Engineer to serve as the technical face of the company with prospective and strategic enterprise customers in India. In this customer-facing role, you'll partner with Account Executives and internal teams (Sales, Product, Engineering) to help customers evaluate Cursor, guide them through proofs of concept, and demonstrate the value of AI in engineering workflows.
Key responsibilities include leading technical discovery and demos with enterprise customers, building trusted relationships with engineering leaders and architects, translating customer requirements into solution designs, and delivering tailored technical presentations and workshops. You'll act as the customer's technical advocate internally, influencing product roadmap priorities and escalating feedback to the engineering team. You'll also collaborate with post-sales teams on smooth customer onboarding and support strategic account planning to identify expansion opportunities.
You should have strong communication skills and executive presence—equally comfortable coding alongside developers or presenting to CTOs. Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle, modern engineering org structures, and developer productivity challenges is essential. While you don't need to be a full-time engineer, you must be fluent in technical workflows, AI tooling, and debugging complex environments. Experience in Field Engineering, Solutions Architecture, Pre-Sales, or Consulting for enterprise software is preferred. You're customer-obsessed, resourceful, adaptable, and thrive in startup environments where you can create solutions proactively.
