Anysphere, maker of Cursor (an AI-native code editor), is hiring a Field Engineer to drive adoption in Healthcare and SLED (State, Local, Education) sectors. You'll be the technical face of the company in the field, partnering with prospective and strategic enterprise customers to evaluate Cursor, guide proof-of-concept engagements, and demonstrate the value of AI in engineering workflows.
You'll work closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams to scope solutions, conduct technical discovery, and serve as a trusted advisor to engineering leaders and architects. Key responsibilities include leading technical demos and POCs with Account Executives, building relationships with developer and technical stakeholder communities, translating customer requirements into solution designs, and delivering tailored technical presentations and workshops. You'll act as the customer's internal advocate, influencing product roadmap priorities and escalating feedback to leadership. You'll also collaborate with post-sales teams on smooth onboarding and support strategic account planning to identify expansion opportunities.
The ideal candidate combines strong communication and executive presence with deep technical fluency. You should understand the software development lifecycle, modern engineering org structures, and developer productivity challenges. While you don't need to be a full-time engineer, hands-on technical ability is essential—fluency in technical workflows, AI tooling, and debugging complex environments is required. You're customer-obsessed, resourceful, and thrive in startup environments. Prior experience in Field Engineering, Solutions Architecture, Pre-Sales, or Enterprise Software Consulting is preferred.
