Salary: USD 114,000 - 191,400 / annual

The Field Communications Manager will develop and execute strategic communication plans for PagerDuty's Go-to-Market and Commercial organizations, reporting to senior leadership. This role is responsible for shaping and delivering key messages across pre-sales, post-sales, partner, and customer success audiences, ensuring consistent and compelling communications that keep teams engaged and informed.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing strategic communication plans aligned with the Chief Revenue Officer's goals
- Building and expanding communication platforms for executive leadership
- Crafting key messages and narratives for global audiences, tailored by region and persona
- Creating and executing content across email, Slack, video, and other channels
- Owning town hall agendas, content, and slides that spotlight customer stories
- Managing customer communications on critical matters in partnership with CRO and Chief Customer Officer
- Producing content for announcements, presentations, newsletters, blog posts, and FAQs
- Building stakeholder relationships and incorporating feedback into communication strategy
- Engaging hundreds of GTM personnel through creative initiatives
- Moderating large-scale meetings with content management, Slack monitoring, and KPI reporting
- Partnering with other communications leaders to align GTM messaging with the broader executive team
Required qualifications include a bachelor's or master's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or equivalent experience; 7+ years in communications (internal, external, executive, or enablement); a track record of launching and managing communication plans with metrics-driven iteration; experience partnering with GTM or executive leaders on positioning and change management; and exceptional writing and editing skills across multiple personas and industries.
Preferred qualifications include hands-on experience with generative AI tools (Claude, Gemini), experience managing communications calendars and distribution lists, comfort in fast-paced agile environments, program and project management fundamentals, and familiarity with Zoom Webinars, Google Apps, Microsoft Suite, Slack, and email tools.
The role requires 2 days per week in the San Francisco office. This is a hybrid position with flexibility for the remaining work week.
