MinIO is seeking a Field Architect to serve as a senior customer-facing technical leader responsible for defining, validating, and guiding AIStor architectures for AI, analytics, cloud-native applications, and large-scale data infrastructure.
In this role, you will act as a trusted technical advisor to enterprise customers and partners, translating business and application requirements into robust technical designs. You will lead technical discovery sessions to understand customer goals, data architecture, and infrastructure constraints, then design scalable AIStor solutions that map directly to those needs.
Key responsibilities include:
**Technical Leadership & Architecture**: Conduct deep technical discovery with customers and partners. Define and validate AIStor architectures for AI/ML training and inference, analytics platforms, data lakehouse environments, and high-performance data pipelines. Serve as a subject matter expert in object storage, S3-compatible architectures, distributed systems, metadata management, replication, erasure coding, security, performance tuning, and large-scale namespace design.
**Customer Engagement & Advisory**: Build trusted relationships with customer technical stakeholders across infrastructure, platform, analytics, AI, security, and operations teams. Lead proof-of-value engagements, system configurations, performance testing, and interoperability validation. Partner with internal Customer Engineering, Product, and Engineering teams to move customers from evaluation through production and drive broader adoption.
**Ecosystem & Enablement**: Provide technical leadership on Kubernetes, containers, cloud-native deployment patterns, and hybrid/private/public cloud models. Collaborate with technology and reseller partners on complete solutions. Deliver architecture presentations, whiteboard sessions, demonstrations, and technical workshops. Support RFPs, RFIs, and security reviews.
**Product Intelligence**: Capture field feedback, competitive insights, and workload patterns to inform product roadmap priorities. Stay current on object storage, data lakehouse, AI infrastructure, and competitive trends.
You will need 10+ years in senior customer-facing technical roles, strong background in enterprise storage, object storage, distributed systems, or data platforms, and deep understanding of S3-compatible architectures, HTTP, REST APIs, security models, and scale-out system design.
