You will engage directly with research institutions, hospitals, and biotech companies daily, delivering hands-on training at customer sites, providing experimental design guidance, troubleshooting technical issues, and maintaining strategic relationships.
Key responsibilities include: serving as the main point of contact between customers and 10x, coordinating and performing on-site trainings and product demonstrations, interpreting customer needs and escalating issues appropriately, providing technical support across molecular biology workflows and NGS/cytometry data analysis, and gathering competitive feedback to inform product and marketing strategy. You will also support the sales team at scientific conferences and symposiums, present at industry events, and contribute to technical documentation and white papers.
You must have extensive hands-on experience in molecular biology, biochemistry, genomics, or genetics, with demonstrated knowledge of NGS workflows and associated analysis software, or flow cytometry and sorting platforms. A PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or Genetics is preferred, or equivalent experience (BA/BS with ~5 years, or MS with ~3 years). Single-cell laboratory experience is highly desirable. Fluent written and verbal Japanese language skills are required. You should be an excellent trainer and presenter, capable of managing customer expectations while delivering outstanding service, and comfortable with up to 50% travel across the region.
