Traversal is an AI Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) platform trusted by enterprise companies to troubleshoot, remediate, and prevent complex production incidents. The company is building an AI agent lab for the enterprise with a team of researchers from MIT, Harvard, and Berkeley alongside engineers from leading tech companies.
As Field Marketing Manager, you will own the execution of Traversal's events and field marketing strategy, including corporate events, sponsored trade shows, roadshows, workshops, and regional programs. You'll plan and execute world-class events from concept through completion, managing timelines, budgets, vendors, logistics, and on-site execution. This role sits at the intersection of marketing, events, sales, and operations.
Key responsibilities include developing and running regional field marketing initiatives aligned with pipeline acceleration goals, partnering closely with sales teams, collaborating cross-functionally with marketing to plan brand-aligned initiatives, and measuring pipeline impact and ROI. You'll continuously test, iterate, and improve programs based on performance data and field feedback.
You'll need 3–5 years of B2B field marketing experience at high-growth technology companies, with proven expertise planning and executing executive events, customer programs, and field marketing initiatives. Experience managing industry conferences, trade shows, and sponsorship activations is essential. You should be comfortable executing events for both highly technical audiences (engineering, infrastructure, DevOps, SRE) and executive decision makers, and have strong experience measuring pipeline influence and event ROI.
Additional requirements include outstanding project management and organizational skills, experience managing external vendors and production partners, and comfort working cross-functionally in a fast-paced startup environment. A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field is preferred. The role requires approximately 30–50% travel.
Nice-to-have skills include industry experience in AI, infrastructure, developer tools, cloud, observability, or enterprise software; familiarity with Salesforce, HubSpot, or Marketo; basic design skills with Figma or Adobe Creative Suite; and experience writing marketing and sales content for events.
