Salary: USD 230,000 - 270,000 / annual
Horizon3.ai is a fast-growing cybersecurity company on a mission to help organizations proactively find, fix, and verify exploitable attack vectors before criminals exploit them. The flagship product, NodeZero, delivers production-safe autonomous pentests and assessment operations that scale across internal, external, cloud, and hybrid environments. The company was founded by a fusion of former U.S. Special Operations cyber operators, startup engineers, and cybersecurity practitioners.
You will join the Federal Team as a Sales Engineer based in the Washington, DC region. This is a hybrid role with up to 50% travel required to support federal customers and prospects across CONUS and OCONUS regions.
Key responsibilities:
- Demonstrate deep technical knowledge of Horizon3's cybersecurity products and services to prospects and clients
- Meet with potential customers to understand their cybersecurity needs, challenges, and infrastructure
- Deliver live product demonstrations and proof-of-concept engagements tailored to specific customer requirements
- Work with sales and product teams to design and refine solutions based on customer feedback
- Train the sales team on technical product aspects to improve sales effectiveness
- Relay field feedback to product and engineering teams to drive continuous improvement
- Assist in answering technical sections of RFPs and RFIs
- Provide occasional post-sales support to ensure smooth implementation and customer satisfaction
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a Pre-Sales Engineer or Solutions Architect, ideally in cybersecurity
- Experience with DoD Offensive Cyber Operations
- US Federal Security Clearance (must be able to obtain required clearance and potential access to classified information systems)
- Familiarity with managed services delivery models, SOC workflows, SIEM, SOAR, EDR, PTaaS, and MDR
- Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), identity systems (AD/AAD), and networking fundamentals
- Strong understanding of cyber threats, risk management, and cybersecurity solutions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to simplify complex technical topics for non-technical audiences
- Highly collaborative with strong initiative
- Desirable: OSCP, OSCE, CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or cloud security certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
