Verkada is seeking an Enterprise Account Executive to drive new business acquisition within the Federal civilian market. The role focuses on greenfield penetration, net new logo acquisition, and revenue growth in a fast-paced sales environment.
Key responsibilities include developing and executing a comprehensive territory plan to prospect, manage, and close net new Federal Civilian business opportunities. You will manage the full sales lifecycle from outreach and product trials through strategic contract negotiations and deal closure. The role requires partnering with internal channel partner sales organizations to establish initiatives delivering a minimum of 5 deal registrations per quarter, with a target of at least 1 qualified net new logo per quarter.
Additional duties include conducting account analysis, quarterly business reviews, and providing accurate revenue forecasting. You will drive market presence through targeted customer engagements, executive briefings, marketing campaigns, and industry conferences. The position also involves initiating expansion discussions and identifying key decision-makers and budgetary timelines to maximize customer lifetime value.
The successful candidate will have 5-10+ years of quota-carrying tech sales experience with a proven track record of landing net new business in greenfield territories. A minimum of 2+ years of experience selling technical solutions directly into the Federal space is required. The ideal candidate demonstrates a hunter mentality with extensive experience prospecting, displacing incumbents, and navigating complex government buying cycles. Strong MEDDIC knowledge and execution capability is highly preferred.
Experience selling SaaS, subscription, Cloud software, networking, or physical security solutions is preferred, as is experience collaborating with channel partners to co-sell and drive partner-led revenue. A BS/BA degree is preferred. The role requires up to 50% travel for field-based sales activities, including customer meetings, site visits, and relationship-building. This is a field-based role requiring a strong local presence within the assigned territory, and candidates must be willing to live in the territory.
