Checkmarx is seeking a Federal Account Manager to drive new business acquisition and growth within the U.S. federal government sector. This role owns the full account lifecycle—from identifying and closing new opportunities with federal agencies to managing and expanding renewal relationships with existing customers to maximize install growth and long-term value. You will be responsible for owning and delivering new logo quota within your defined territory while nurturing existing accounts and overseeing renewal health. The ideal candidate brings sales and relationship management experience with MEDDPICC/MEDDIC methodologies, combined with a passion for learning Checkmarx's application security platform and competitive advantages. You will leverage customer management, business, and sales acumen to achieve targets for your book of business, with experience negotiating software licenses and a consultative approach to working with C-level executives and procurement teams. Key responsibilities include building and maintaining a pipeline at 5X target, actively identifying expansion opportunities within the existing customer base, leading and closing multi-year deals, and collaborating with Checkmarx's partner ecosystem to co-sell and drive net-new business. You will cultivate a credible "industry expert" persona on LinkedIn, sharing application security insights to build a personal brand that attracts and engages key stakeholders. The role requires accurate customer and forecast information management using Checkmarx tools, participation in weekly account reviews, and face-to-face engagement with customers. Travel to channel and customer sites may be required as appropriate to secure and maintain relationships.
