Arc is electrifying the marine industry by rethinking powertrains, software, and vessel designs from first principles. The company has proven core technology, is scaling production of its flagship consumer model, and is now extending its platform to commercial applications including tugs, ferries, and defense systems. Arc has years of signed contracts and a pipeline spanning every vessel type.
As Federal Account Executive, you will own a portfolio of U.S. Navy accounts and manage them from initial outreach through contract closure. Your responsibilities include:
• Building and executing account plans for assigned Navy accounts, prospecting for new opportunities, and expanding existing Arc relationships
• Developing trusted relationships across customer organizations, from program leaders to prime contractors, representing Arc with credibility and technical clarity
• Understanding each customer's mission and priorities, then positioning Arc's technology to solve real problems with a clear first step
• Qualifying opportunities carefully and running them through a disciplined, repeatable sales and capture process to close
• Partnering with prime contractors, internal teammates, and Arc engineering to build compelling proposals and teaming arrangements
• Forecasting accurately, maintaining current records, and reporting pipeline health and progress on a regular cadence
This is a full-time, on-site role at Arc's Los Angeles headquarters.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Familiarity with government contracting or defense acquisition
• Field sales, business development, or capture experience, ideally selling to the U.S. Navy, Department of Defense, or federal government
• Proven track record of managing full sales cycles and consistently exceeding targets
• Comfort building relationships inside large, complex organizations and guiding group buying decisions to close
• Strong discovery, presentation, and storytelling skills connecting technical products to customer missions
• Ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously while prioritizing high-impact accounts
• Must be a U.S. person as defined by ITAR (U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee) due to export control requirements
Bonus Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field
• Background in maritime, power and propulsion, unmanned systems, or related technical domain
• Training in modern sales or capture methodology (Challenger, SPIN, Shipley)
• Active or recent security clearance
