As Experiential Events Manager at Pogo, you'll own the company's conference, dinner, and in-person event programs as core growth channels. You'll manage a high volume of events year-round, handling end-to-end logistics including venue selection, vendor management, travel coordination, materials, staffing, and post-event follow-up. Key responsibilities include building and maintaining relationships with event organizers, venues, and partners; evaluating ROI for every event to determine which ones merit repeat investment; designing creative, memorable activations that differentiate Pogo to its niche audience of insights and research leaders; and traveling up to 2x monthly to ensure priority events run smoothly. You'll partner closely with sales and marketing teams to ensure events convert into pipeline and customer relationships, while running guerrilla marketing experiments to stand out at key industry events.
You bring 3–7 years of experience in conference servicing, field marketing, experiential programs, or events at a tech company or creative agency. You have strong operations and project management skills, capable of juggling hundreds of moving parts across multiple simultaneous events without dropping the ball. You're a relationship builder who can unlock premium event slots, partnerships, and venues through genuine connections. You combine great taste and creative instinct—you care how things look and feel, and you can invent activations rather than just execute them. You evaluate spend honestly and make tough calls to cut underperforming events. You operate autonomously, identifying which conferences to pursue and which vendors to engage without needing direction. You're comfortable with frequent travel (primarily US-based) and actively use AI tools in your workflows. Bonus skills include guerrilla marketing creativity, consumer insights experience, and extensive travel background.
Pogo values quality over quantity, focusing on highly intentional experiences that create meaningful relationships and drive real business outcomes. As an early marketing team member, you'll help shape the field marketing strategy, vendor relationships, event standards, and operating rhythms as the company scales. This is an in-the-trenches role with significant operational intensity—you own every detail from vendor issues to logistics to last-minute changes. The company moves quickly with minimal structure, valuing autonomy and speed. You'll be context-switching across multiple events and partnerships while traveling frequently. The role expects more than standard 9-to-5 hours at this stage, though the company offers unlimited PTO with a minimum 20-day vacation policy and encourages flexible scheduling.
