Figma is seeking an Executive Communications Manager to shape how the company's leadership tells Figma's story. This is a new role reporting to the VP of Communications, focused on building narrative frameworks, crafting executive messaging, and amplifying leadership voices across multiple channels and formats. You'll spend significant time writing—essays, keynotes, social posts, and op-eds—while also developing strategy around which ideas deserve development, which audiences need to hear them, and how stories gain traction. The role requires the ability to make executives sound sharp in 140-character posts and credible in 3,000-word essays with equal precision. Key responsibilities include: - Building narrative frameworks executives use to tell Figma's story and their own - Partnering with the comms team on media strategy, messaging, and channel selection - Working directly with executives to sharpen ideas and refine broader points of view - Creating systems and infrastructure to keep executive storytelling consistent and differentiated - Measuring impact and fostering a culture of experimentation in exec comms Ideal candidates bring extensive experience crafting narratives for senior executives, a track record of writing for demanding C-suite leaders, executive presence, media relations expertise, and comfort with ambiguity. A journalism or editorial background, tech industry experience, and strong business literacy are valued but not required. The role is based in San Francisco or New York City.
