Salary: USD 111,000 - 140,000 / annual
Chainguard is seeking an Executive Communications and Content Manager to develop and amplify thought leadership for the executive team and customer base. The role is fundamentally content-driven, focusing on writing and creating compelling narratives across multiple formats—blog posts, bylines, social content, video, and talking points—that showcase each executive's distinctive voice and perspective.
You will partner closely with Chainguard's leadership to craft individual narratives aligned with company launches, campaigns, and market moments. Key responsibilities include developing executive thought leadership content that builds reputation in security and open source communities; creating customer-focused content that highlights how clients leverage Chainguard; managing social presence for executives with authentic, voice-appropriate posts; preparing talking points and narratives for external engagements (podcasts, events, webinars); translating technical and strategic topics into stories that resonate with developer, security, and business audiences; coordinating with Marketing, PR, and Events teams to ensure narrative alignment; and owning content calendars and end-to-end content operations for each executive.
The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of experience in executive communications, public relations, content/brand storytelling, journalism, or similar writing-intensive roles, with in-house experience preferred. You should excel at managing multiple executives, channels, and deadlines simultaneously; possess strong storytelling instinct to identify narratives in news, customer moments, or executive ideas; demonstrate excellent writing and messaging skills for complex topics; operate confidently with senior executives, including the ability to push back constructively; thrive in cross-functional, collaborative environments; and ideally have experience in technical or developer-facing organizations.
