Grafana Labs is seeking an experienced Events Manager to independently own and deliver the company's regional events across EMEA and eventually APJ. This is a hands-on role for someone who has run conferences end-to-end: sourced and contracted venues, managed budgets, coordinated vendors, and led on-site execution when issues arise.
You will manage a portfolio of in-person events, including Grafana's owned regional user conferences (ObservabilityCON on the Road) and third-party sponsorships. Key responsibilities include end-to-end event logistics such as venue sourcing, negotiation, and contracting; vendor coordination; booth design and setup; and on-site execution. You'll own event project management, maintaining detailed timelines, budgets, contracts, and vendor communications while ensuring alignment across stakeholders.
You will define and track event success metrics, deliver post-event analysis, and translate insights into actionable improvements that increase performance and ROI. You'll create, review, and approve event assets including signage, collateral, presentations, and registration experiences to ensure brand consistency. The role includes leveraging and building AI and automation tools to improve planning efficiency, execution accuracy, and reporting.
You'll identify risks early and resolve issues proactively, leading real-time problem-solving and on-site decision-making. Collaboration is essential—you'll work cross-functionally with marketing, sales, product, and regional teams to align event strategy with broader business objectives. You'll also provide guidance to junior team members, contractors, and agency partners while remaining hands-on in execution.
