Halter is a venture-backed agtech company transforming sustainable grazing practices. The company has developed technology that enables farmers and graziers to manage livestock without traditional fencing, quad bikes, or dogs—using precision guidance instead. Backed by tier-1 investors including Founders Fund, Bessemer Venture Partners, and DCVC, Halter is scaling rapidly across North America. As Events Lead for North America, you will own the complete event strategy and execution across the region. This is a leadership role managing Event Specialists/Coordinators while partnering closely with Territory Managers and the broader sales organization. Key responsibilities include: **Strategy & Planning**: Build the annual North American event calendar and strategy, balancing flagship national activations (e.g., CattleCon, large-format field days) with regional, high-trust events that drive pipeline. Every event has a clear commercial purpose and defined audience. **Budget Ownership**: Develop and manage the annual event budget, including forecasting, per-event budgets, supplier contracts, negotiation, cost reconciliation, and reporting against plan. **Event Delivery**: Execute across the full spectrum—from premium national conferences and enterprise events to invite-only stakeholder gatherings and efficient regional ranch-based activations. You set production standards appropriate to each context and own both on-the-day experience and follow-up conversion. **ROI Measurement**: Measure every event's return in terms of pipeline generated, cost per opportunity, and impact on the deal cycle or customer journey. Build a team that thinks commercially about events, not just attendance metrics. **Team Leadership**: Build and coach a high-performing team capable of moving between formats, maintaining production standards when required, and moving fast when appropriate. Foster collaboration across sales, marketing, and other functions. **Field Immersion**: Spend time on the road with Territory Managers and at events, immersing yourself in the ranching audience and understanding the real-world context of your activations. You bring 5+ years of event leadership experience across varied scales and budgets. You've successfully run both large-scale builds and lean, efficient activations, with strong judgment about appropriate investment levels. You're commercially minded, analytically rigorous, and energized by precision execution under pressure. You excel at building high-performing teams, collaborating across functions, and working alongside senior leadership. You're genuinely excited about the agriculture and sustainability space and eager to be hands-on in the field.
