Halter is a climate-tech company transforming sustainable grazing practices for farmers and graziers. The company uses precision livestock management technology to enable productive, sustainable operations without traditional fencing or herding methods. Backed by tier-1 investors including Founders Fund and Bessemer Venture Partners, Halter is solving meaningful problems in agricultural sustainability.
As Events Lead for Australia, you will own Halter's complete event strategy and execution across the country. This is a leadership role managing Event Specialists/Coordinators while building and delivering a diverse portfolio of activations—from premium national brand moments like Beef Week to regional farm-based events supporting Territory Managers' pipelines.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing the annual Australian event strategy and calendar, defining what events to run and why, ensuring each has clear commercial purpose and audience alignment.
- Building and managing the annual event budget, including forecasting, per-event budgets, supplier contracts, negotiation, cost reconciliation, and spend reporting.
- Delivering events across the full spectrum: flagship national activations, conferences, invite-only stakeholder events, and efficient regional activations. You set production standards appropriate to each context.
- Measuring event ROI rigorously—pipeline generated, cost per opportunity, and impact on deal cycle and customer journey.
- Leading and coaching a team capable of moving between formats, maintaining production standards when needed, and executing efficiently when appropriate.
- Partnering closely with Territory Managers to ensure regional events serve their patches and pipelines, not operate as a separate calendar.
- Collaborating across marketing (Content & Lifecycle) to integrate events into broader commercial motions and drive both new acquisition and customer revenue.
You bring proven experience delivering events at multiple scales and budgets, with strong judgment about appropriate investment levels. You're commercially minded, thinking in terms of pipeline and cost per opportunity rather than vanity metrics. You're energized by being in the field with farmers and sales teams, comfortable with a varied and busy calendar, and genuinely collaborative across functions. You're aspirational and creative—pushing for new formats and activations rather than defaulting to inherited approaches, and willing to experiment with formats that might not work.
