Bobyard automates construction takeoffs and estimates using computer vision and NLP, enabling contractors to bid faster and win more work. The company raised $35M in Series A funding and is scaling rapidly across trades including landscaping, electrical, mechanical, and concrete. As Event Marketing Manager, you will own Bobyard's entire events program, which is critical to the sales motion—contractors buy from people they've met, and many of those relationships start on trade show floors. You'll develop and execute the events strategy, manage the annual calendar, set meeting targets for each event, and measure ROI across the portfolio. Key responsibilities include: - Develop events strategy and annual calendar; tier events and set meetings targets before committing - Own the event budget; negotiate sponsorships, booth space, and vendor contracts - Manage booth logistics end-to-end: exhibitor deadlines, shipping, booth build, staffing, and on-site execution - Coordinate with SDRs and AEs to pre-book meetings and staff booths with the right people - Ensure all leads are entered into HubSpot and routed to the appropriate rep within 48 hours of show close - Report event costs and pipeline returns to leadership; make data-driven decisions on which events to expand, maintain, or drop - Document and refine playbooks to improve execution velocity across shows The role is hands-on and physical. Show weeks are long, and you'll travel approximately 30% of the time, often spending several days at convention centers. You'll work closely with sales, and plans will change frequently—adaptability and calm under pressure are essential. REQUIREMENTS: - 4+ years in event marketing or field marketing at a B2B company, including ownership of events strategy and budget - Track record running 12+ events per quarter, from major booth installations to walk-the-floor shows, including contract negotiation and lead follow-up - Demonstrated ability to manage event budgets and calculate cost per meeting for events you've run - Strong collaboration skills with sales teams, including ability to navigate pushback on plans - Vendor management and contract negotiation expertise - Ability to stay calm under pressure and adapt to last-minute changes - Willingness to travel ~30% and spend multiple days on-site at convention centers Nice to have: construction/trades/industrial trade show experience; experience routing event leads in HubSpot or Salesforce; experience bringing customers to booths or onto speaking panels; experience as first or only events hire at a startup.
