Verkada is seeking an Enterprise Field Solutions Engineer based in the Northeastern US to drive technical sales and customer success for its AI-powered physical security platform. You will partner directly with territory account executives to expand Verkada's footprint into Fortune 500 companies, serving as the technical authority throughout the sales cycle.
Key responsibilities include:
- Serve as subject matter expert on the full Verkada product suite (video security, access control, air quality sensors, alarms, intercoms, visitor management) and articulate value to customers
- Overcome technical objections and secure technical wins during the sales process
- Present solutions to all customer levels, from C-suite executives to IT directors and loss prevention managers
- Act as a product technical evangelist, training and educating partners, customers, and internal teams on latest offerings
- Provide technical assistance to account representatives and directly interface with customers/partners throughout the sales process
- Assist customers in designing deployments with Verkada products
This role requires extensive travel (50%+ of time), including domestic and international destinations to support customer and partner engagements.
Required qualifications:
- 3+ years as a Sales Engineer with proven Fortune 500 experience
- Bachelor's degree in relevant technical or security field
- Strong networking background: HTTPS, VLANs, TCP/IP, DNS, NAT devices, DHCP, firewalls
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and learn quickly
Bonus qualifications include industry certifications (AWS, CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, MCSE, CEH, Security+, A+, Network+, Azure, CISSP), experience with Active Directory, SAML/SCIM, APIs, Python, and startup background.
