Verkada is seeking an Enterprise Solutions Engineer to be the first field-based technical expert in Austria, supporting the expansion of Verkada's physical security and IoT platform into Fortune 500 accounts across the region.
Verkada provides an integrated, AI-powered platform combining video security, access control, air quality sensors, alarms, intercoms, and visitor management. The company serves 30,000+ customers (including 100+ Fortune 500 companies), has a $5.8B valuation, and over $1 billion in annualized bookings.
In this role, you will:
- Serve as the technical authority on the full Verkada product suite, articulating value to customers throughout the sales cycle
- Partner directly with field account executives and the Head of South Europe to develop territory strategy
- Interface with customers and partners to overcome technical objections and secure technical wins
- Design Verkada solutions covering network security, bandwidth requirements, physical security product selection, cloud security RFPs, and LTE deployments
- Present solutions to all customer levels, from C-suite to IT directors and loss prevention managers
- Act as a trusted advisor and technical evangelist, training partners, customers, and internal teams
- Develop thought leadership through white papers, knowledge base articles, and conference presentations
- Support partner enablement and regional growth initiatives
- Travel extensively (50%+ of time) for customer and partner engagements, both domestic and international
Requirements:
- Based in Austria (Vienna preferred) or willing to relocate
- Fluent in English and German (additional languages a plus)
- 5+ years as a Sales Engineer with proven Fortune 500 experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Networking, or IT Security from an accredited university
- Strong networking background: HTTPS/SSL, VLANs, TCP/IP, DNS, NAT, DHCP, firewalls, software systems
- Industry certifications preferred (AWS, CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, MCSE, CEH, Security+, A+, Network+, Azure, CISCP, CSP)
- Experience with APIs, Python, and other coding languages (a plus)
- Linux systems experience (ideal, not required)
- Previous startup experience (ideal, not required)
