Salary: USD 200,000 - 245,000 / annual
Postman is the world's leading API platform used by 45+ million developers and 500,000 organizations, including 98% of the Fortune 500. We're seeking an Enterprise Solutions Engineer to join our sales team and drive enterprise business growth.
In this role, you'll partner closely with our sales team to promote API-first development culture, nurture customer relationships, and guide enterprise customers in leveraging Postman's platform effectively. You'll conduct discovery calls, technical demonstrations, and proof-of-value workshops with prospective customers. Your responsibilities include handling technical questions and objections, understanding customer workflows, creating proof-of-concept integrations, and maintaining customer sandbox environments.
You'll act as a technical intermediary between sales and engineering teams, ensuring customer needs are met. You'll also share customer feedback with product and engineering teams, provide customer advocacy, and stay current with competitive landscape trends and API market challenges.
The ideal candidate has 8+ years of enterprise sales or solutions engineering experience, 4+ years of software development background, and 4+ years working with APIs and data platforms. You should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent work experience). You're comfortable with JavaScript, an expert Postman user, and deeply understand APIs, modern development methodologies, DevOps, and the software development lifecycle.
You're experienced with enterprise SaaS sales processes, sales methodologies (MEDDIC, Challenger Sale, Command of the Message), and typical developer tooling (IDEs, Git, CI/CD, monitoring, microservices, containers, cloud services). You excel at building long-lasting relationships with strategic customers, engaging senior management and executives, and communicating across all technical levels. You're a fast learner, excellent communicator, and thrive in collaborative, fast-paced environments. Remote work is supported with up to 50% travel required.
