Adyen is seeking a commercially driven Enterprise Sales Manager to own the full sales cycle for strategic enterprise merchants across the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland). This is a high-impact individual contributor role focused on new business development, executive relationship building, and complex solution selling in a competitive fintech market. Key responsibilities include identifying and prioritizing high-value enterprise opportunities across key verticals; building trusted relationships with C-level and senior decision-makers; leading complex commercial conversations around payments, financial technology, and broader business outcomes; navigating long sales cycles involving multiple stakeholder groups (commercial, product, technical, compliance, procurement, executive); shaping deal strategy and negotiating mutually beneficial outcomes; partnering with internal teams (Sales Support, Implementation, Account Management, BDR) to drive customer success; serving as a market representative bringing insights on customer needs and competitive dynamics; mentoring and knowledge-sharing with peers; and traveling regularly across the region to strengthen market presence. The ideal candidate brings 4+ years of full-cycle enterprise sales experience with measurable success in complex strategic accounts. Background in selling to consumer-facing industries (retail, digital platforms, hospitality, e-commerce, financial services) where payments are strategically important is essential. An existing network across DACH merchants, partners, or ecosystem players is highly valued. Required traits include entrepreneurial mindset, strong prospecting ability, executive credibility, clear communication skills, strategic negotiation capability, and deep understanding of DACH business culture and enterprise buying behavior. The role demands resilience, self-direction, and the ability to create momentum in a competitive market while maintaining ethical decision-making and collaborative teamwork.
