Mistral is a full-stack AI company providing frontier models, developer tools, applications, and compute infrastructure. They partner with enterprises across finance, manufacturing, defense, healthcare, and the public sector to co-create customized AI systems. You will lead and grow Mistral's US Enterprise Sales team from a base in San Francisco or New York City, reporting to the RVP of US Enterprise. This is a people-management role with three core pillars: Recruiting: Build a high-performing, diverse team of Enterprise Account Executives. Maintain a strong candidate pipeline to accelerate hiring and support regional growth. Developing: Coach and manage team performance to drive individual and collective results. Conduct regular performance reviews, career planning sessions, pipeline reviews, and forecast calls. Drive accountability to key performance metrics and ensure AEs are positioned to exceed quota. Executing: Own the revenue target for your regional team, focusing on new logo acquisition and customer expansion. Translate North America sales strategy into actionable regional activities. Provide accurate revenue forecasting and pipeline analysis to leadership. Refine sales plays tailored to regional context and share learnings with other leaders. Support AEs in closing deals by building executive relationships within key accounts. Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, finance, and product teams, as well as externally with cloud partners and systems integrators. Partner with Product and Engineering to communicate market feedback and influence the roadmap. Work with Global Sales Leadership to share market trends and ensure execution against global and regional strategies. Required qualifications: 10+ years in B2B technology sales with 4+ years in sales management or team leadership. Proven track record building and managing high-performing sales teams that consistently exceed revenue targets. Deep experience selling to large enterprise organizations with multiple stakeholders and complex buying processes. Strong understanding of the US AI market, including use cases, key industries, competitive landscape, and latest developments. Fluency in value selling methodologies (Command of the Message or equivalent). Experience in highly technical sales environments. Expertise in sales forecasting, pipeline management, and business analysis. Clear leadership philosophy with demonstrated ability to motivate teams, manage performance, and establish operating rhythm.
