OP Labs is seeking an Enterprise Sales Lead to drive adoption of Optimism, an open-source blockchain network powering next-generation financial infrastructure. The company has raised $178M from a16z, Paradigm, and others, and serves hundreds of enterprises including Sony, Coinbase, Kraken, and Uniswap. Over 65% of Layer 2 activity on Ethereum runs through the OP stack. This is a strategic and executional role reporting to Optimism leadership. You will own end-to-end institutional sales strategy, acting as a general manager for the enterprise segment. Key responsibilities include: - Define and execute Optimism's institutional strategy, identifying high-leverage market entry points such as stablecoin corridors, embedded finance, and B2B/B2C payment rails - Source, structure, and close high-impact partnerships with the world's largest institutions - Translate protocol advantages into compelling narratives for institutional decision-makers - Collaborate with product, engineering, and partner teams to ensure successful integration and onboarding - Channel market feedback to influence product roadmap decisions (compliance features, wallet UX, account abstraction) - Represent Optimism at industry events, institutional conferences, and global policy forums - Publish thought leadership on programmable money, composable compliance, and payments infrastructure - Build and maintain relationships with ecosystem players including wallets, stablecoin issuers, banking-as-a-service providers, and other Layer 2s Required qualifications: 10+ years of enterprise sales experience with a proven track record closing and scaling complex institutional deals. Deep understanding of fintech infrastructure (wallets, custody, card issuing, stablecoins, compliance tooling, developer platforms) and familiarity with crypto infrastructure, especially Ethereum, Layer 2s, and wallet abstraction. You are a sharp strategic thinker who can map fragmented fintech value chains and craft compelling business development theses. You're an independent deal-closer comfortable with C-level stakeholders and multi-party partnerships. You have high agency, can build 0→1 partnerships and GTM strategies with minimal oversight, and communicate effectively across business, technical, and ecosystem stakeholders. You thrive in collaborative, cross-functional teams while moving quickly independently, and are motivated to rebuild the global financial stack on open, composable rails.
