Sierra is building an AI platform that helps businesses deliver better, more human customer experiences. The healthcare team has already reached over 50% of U.S. families through partnerships with leading health plans, providers, and healthcare platforms. These AI agents handle sensitive conversations—from helping members understand benefits to resolving billing questions with empathy.
As an Enterprise Sales Engineer, you will own the end-to-end technical pre-sales process for healthcare customers. This includes scoping customer use cases, articulating business value, designing and demoing Sierra's platform, leading technical and architecture reviews, and serving as the trusted technical expert throughout the sales cycle.
You will work directly with Sales, Product, and Agent Engineering teams to drive go-to-market strategy and continuously improve the platform through customer-driven product development. You'll be a GTM and technical leader in early conversations with prospective customers, understanding and anticipating their needs to support Sierra's industry-leading AI solution.
The role requires 5-7+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or customer-facing technical sales. You should have a track record in demo building, presenting to customers, and leading enterprise sales processes. Strong relationship-building skills with executives and technical leaders are essential, as is the ability to translate complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.
A Bachelor's degree (preferably in Computer Science or related field) is required. Experience with AI, modern technical industries, translating code and technical logic into product requirements, and working in healthcare or regulated industries is highly valued.
Sierra is primarily in-person in San Francisco with growing offices in Atlanta, New York, London, Paris, Madrid, Munich, Singapore, Tokyo, and Sydney. The company was founded by Bret Taylor (former Salesforce co-CEO, Facebook CTO, Google Maps co-creator) and Clay Bavor (18 years at Google, led Google Labs and Project Starline).
