Corelight is seeking an experienced Enterprise Account Executive to drive new business growth across State, Local Government, and Higher Education (SLED) organizations in the Southeast region. This is a strategic sales role focused on developing executive relationships, building qualified pipeline, and navigating complex public sector procurement processes to help government and educational institutions strengthen their cybersecurity posture through Corelight's Network Detection and Response platform.
You will own and grow a defined SLED territory by developing and executing strategic account and territory plans. Key responsibilities include identifying and closing new business opportunities across state agencies, local governments, and higher education institutions; building trusted relationships with CISOs, CIOs, security leaders, and executive stakeholders; leading complex, multi-threaded enterprise sales cycles from initial engagement through contract execution; and navigating public sector procurement processes, RFPs, and contract negotiations.
You'll partner closely with Sales Engineers to deliver compelling technical demonstrations and business value, collaborate with channel partners to generate pipeline and accelerate opportunities, and maintain accurate pipeline management and forecast accuracy in Salesforce. Cross-functional collaboration with Marketing, Product, Customer Success, and Leadership is essential to deliver an exceptional customer experience. You'll represent Corelight at customer meetings, partner engagements, and industry events throughout your territory.
Required qualifications include 8+ years of enterprise technology or cybersecurity sales experience with a consistent record of meeting or exceeding quota, and 2+ years of experience selling into SLED organizations. You must have demonstrated success managing complex enterprise sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and executive decision makers, and experience navigating public sector procurement processes and long buying cycles. Strong executive presence, familiarity with structured enterprise sales methodologies (MEDDPICC, MEDDIC, Challenger, or similar), and a collaborative, team-first mindset are essential. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required, and willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory is expected.
