Atlan is building the context layer for enterprise AI—infrastructure that helps enterprises operationalize AI safely by providing business context around data. The company is recognized by Gartner as a Leader in data catalogs, data governance, and metadata management, and is one of three vendors building context graphs for AI agents. As an Enterprise Account Executive, you will own full-cycle, multi-stakeholder sales cycles with sophisticated data and AI leaders (CDOs, SVPs of Data, CIOs) at large enterprises. You'll self-generate pipeline across your Bay Area territory, managing account strategy and deal orchestration end-to-end with support from BDRs, Sales Engineers, and partners. A key part of the role is building direct relationships with partner field teams (Snowflake, Databricks, and other ISVs/SIs), though Atlan typically closes direct contracts. You'll sell across three connected layers: the established metadata and governance foundation, AI-ready data and governed workflows, and the newer strategic motion (Context Layer, Context Lakehouse, context agents, and Agent Registry). You'll also help build repeatable sales motions—messaging, target-account strategy, executive relationships, and qualification discipline are still being established, and you'll codify at least one play the wider team can inherit. The role includes a visible, embedded presence in the Bay Area technical and CIO/founder ecosystem through meetups, founder circles, and community engagement. Ideal candidates have a genuine AE track record with comfort in technical nuance and depth with C-suite data audiences. You should have successfully sold different technologies or into different buyer types (enterprise application software, AI-native products, or infrastructure). You operate with high agency—taking action without direction, building messaging when playbooks don't exist, and learning quickly. You're genuinely using and upskilling in AI daily, and you discuss past deals in terms of real business outcomes, not point solutions. Bonus qualifications include building something from scratch (new territory, segment, or motion), experience selling genuinely technical infrastructure products to sophisticated buyers, and comfort in partner-led, multi-stakeholder deal environments.
