Watershed is an enterprise sustainability platform used by companies like Airbnb, Carlyle Group, FedEx, Visa, and Dr. Martens to manage climate and ESG data, produce audit-ready metrics for regulatory reporting (including CSRD), and drive real decarbonization.
You will be a founding Enterprise Account Executive for Watershed's Berlin office, responsible for bringing the platform to leading companies across the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland). This is a zero-to-one opportunity to build the sales function from scratch in a new market.
Key responsibilities:
- Own the full sales lifecycle for enterprise customers (1,000-10,000 employees), from prospecting through contract signature, targeting DAX companies and other large enterprises
- Develop and refine the Watershed sales playbook for the DACH market: messaging strategy, organizational navigation, and sales tools
- Expand Watershed into new market segments within the region
- Provide direct customer feedback to shape product strategy
- Become a subject-matter expert in climate, carbon reduction targets, clean energy, and supply chain decarbonization to educate and advise customers
- Help recruit and build out the Berlin sales team
You should have 5+ years of quota-carrying enterprise SaaS sales experience, with a proven track record closing deals with large organizations at the executive level. You're excited by building from scratch, thrive in complex/technical domains, and are relentlessly resourceful. You're a consultative seller who listens deeply and helps customers solve problems. Native German speaker with fluent English required.
The role is based in Berlin with an expectation to work from the office 4 days per week. Watershed has offices in San Francisco, New York, London, Mexico City, and satellite offices in Denver, Sydney, Paris, and Berlin.
