Salary: USD 275,000 - 300,000 / annual
Astronomer is seeking an Enterprise Account Executive to join its high-performing sales team. This is a full-cycle hunting role targeting enterprise accounts (1000+ employees) in California, with responsibility for prospecting, qualification, solution positioning, and closing complex deals. You will work closely with marketing, sales engineering, and product teams to ensure smooth customer handoffs and long-term success.
The sales team has grown 300% year-over-year, exceeded Q2 targets at 195% of goal, and is tracking at 65% of annual quota at the halfway mark. This role includes occasional travel to meet customers and teammates.
You will identify and pursue opportunities through both outbound and inbound channels, deliver compelling product demonstrations, craft tailored proposals aligned with customer objectives, and stay current on industry trends and competitive positioning. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of SaaS sales experience, with at least 2 years of in-person field engagement. You should have a proven track record closing complex enterprise sales cycles in data infrastructure, developer tooling, or adjacent technical domains, selling to engineering, data, and platform teams.
Strong communication skills, ability to influence senior stakeholders, and proficiency with Salesforce and sales enablement platforms are essential. Experience with data orchestration, analytics, Airflow technologies, or selling to technical buyers is highly valued. Success in startup or high-growth environments is a plus. You should demonstrate consistent quota attainment, proactive problem-solving, and accountability.
