CesiumAstro is seeking an Engineering Manager for RF Hardware to lead and coordinate RF electronics teams across multiple sites and product lines. This is a highly technical leadership role responsible for delivering well-engineered RF hardware on schedule across a diverse portfolio including phased arrays, RF front-end modules, up- and down-converters, and software-defined radios.
The role combines people and process leadership with hands-on technical contribution. You will provide technical ownership for board- and box-level RF designs while leading team execution, staffing decisions, and engineering process maturity in a fast-growing aerospace and defense startup. You'll contribute directly to critical designs, architecture reviews, and complex debug activities, ensuring products are scalable, manufacturable, testable, and robust at production volumes.
This front-line management position is ideal for excellent engineers who want to expand their impact by building and leading teams. You'll balance hands-on technical expertise with team leadership, mentoring, and organizational development. Some engineering management experience is preferred but not required; the successful candidate may be a senior or principal engineer motivated to take the next step.
CesiumAstro develops communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and other space and airborne platforms. The company operates in a dynamic, cross-functional environment emphasizing collaborative, autonomous work. U.S. citizenship or eligible immigration status is required due to government space technology export regulations.
