Join Nutanix as an Engineering Manager leading a high-performing team within the Platform Management Software group. You'll drive the design and development of cloud infrastructure solutions that power hybrid and multi-cloud environments globally.
In this role, you'll lead and mentor a team of 8-10 engineers, fostering innovation and continuous improvement while maintaining technical excellence. You'll collaborate closely with Product Managers and Architects to define and execute product roadmaps aligned with customer needs and market trends. Your responsibilities include overseeing the complete product development cycle from design through release, implementing best practices in software development (code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD), and ensuring solutions meet standards for scalability, performance, and reliability.
You'll facilitate cross-functional collaboration across Nutanix, integrating insights from engineering, product management, and customer success into development cycles. Key first-year objectives include scaling the engineering team, launching key product features, and enhancing overall product quality and performance.
You bring 10+ years of software engineering experience with strong expertise in cloud-native infrastructure and data management platforms. You have proven leadership skills managing and mentoring engineering teams, with hands-on technical depth in Python, Golang, and PostgreSQL. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, distributed systems, virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM), and container orchestration is essential. You're proficient with project management tools and continuous delivery pipelines, with excellent communication skills for conveying complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
The role operates on a hybrid basis with a minimum of 3 days per week onsite in Bengaluru to foster collaboration and team alignment. Nutanix has minimal travel requirements, allowing you to focus on work and personal growth.
