As Engineering Manager of Information Security, you will lead a team of security engineers in a player-coach role reporting to the Head of Information Security. You'll manage team direction, career growth, and delivery while remaining hands-on—reviewing detections, stepping into incidents, and shipping automation yourself. Key responsibilities include: - Lead and grow the Information Security team through coaching, goal-setting, and roadmap delivery - Own detection and response end-to-end: define baselines across products, customers, employees, and assets; build detection logic; and reduce time-to-detection and response - Serve as incident commander for security incidents, coordinating investigation and containment across teams - Own escalation path for customer-reported security concerns including suspected fraud and account compromise - Scale the team through automation and AI-assisted triage, investigation, and response workflows - Strengthen cloud and corporate security posture across identity, endpoints, and SaaS - Partner across Application Security, IT, Engineering, Legal, and Compliance to embed security into product development and technology adoption - Support compliance programs (SOC 2, ISO 27001) as a pragmatic control owner - Hire and mentor strong security engineers You bring 5+ years of professional information security experience with both defensive and offensive familiarity, plus 2+ years managing or leading a security engineering or operations team. You have hands-on depth in detection engineering, SIEM/log monitoring, and incident response, plus adjacent expertise in cloud security, IAM, or vulnerability management. You can write code and have shipped automation that transformed team workflows, ideally including LLMs or agents in security contexts. You approach security pragmatically, risk-based, and prefer finding safe paths to "yes." You communicate clearly across audiences—runbooks, post-mortems, customer summaries, and executive briefings. You've navigated security implications of emerging technologies including AI and LLMs. You understand identity and access management (SSO, MFA, RBAC) and core IT domains (endpoint management, networking, cloud infrastructure).
