Sable has built Aidan, an AI employee capable of leading customer calls using realtime voice, vision, and browser use. Aidan operates as a live, two-way conversational agent within real product environments, clicking through interfaces like a human, observing user screens, and dynamically adapting engagement journeys. Each conversation feeds a self-improving context graph called the Brain, enabling Aidan to improve with every interaction.
As Engagement Lead, you own the end-to-end deployment of Aidan into customer workflows. You lead customer engagements from initial discovery through renewal and expansion—the person who scopes the pilot is the same executive advisor customers rely on a year later for strategic guidance on new Aidan applications. You will inherit live accounts on day one and take on new companies as they arrive. A team of deployment strategists and field deployment engineers will support execution; your role is to build the business case, maintain the relationship, and collaboratively decide with the customer what gets built next.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading first conversations with inbound companies and qualifying which opportunities align with Aidan's strengths and your deployment capacity.
- Scoping new deployments: defining the use case, identifying metrics to move, and setting realistic impact expectations. Own continued deployment and results delivery.
- Managing executive relationships and the business case during deployment while the Deployment Strategist handles execution details.
- Expanding engagements by identifying adjacent teams and use cases, understanding time/value tradeoffs, and presenting options for customer decision-making.
- Declining use cases that won't deliver customer value and pushing back on requirements that don't move the needle on stated goals.
- Serving as a Sable ambassador: building relationships that lead to future deployments, mapping target companies, leveraging founder/investor/customer networks for warm introductions, and converting wins into case studies.
The company is in-person in San Francisco with plans to expand to regional offices. All new hires spend their first month in San Francisco with founders and engineers, then work from San Francisco or New York.
Requirements:
- 2–3+ years of experience at a very high bar: MBB consulting firms, Palantir, top AI companies, high finance, or a company you founded. Years matter less than impact and scope of work.
- Demonstrated experience presenting to and being challenged by C-level executives; ability to command the room.
- Experience scoping projects with written deliverables and success metrics, with accountability for outcomes.
- Working knowledge of software or AI (not required to be an engineer, but must be fluent enough to understand Aidan's architecture, analyze performance, and be credible with customer engineers and operations leaders).
- Strong relationship-building skills; past clients and executives actively maintain contact with you.
- Hunger and ambition: you seek responsibility that typically arrives ten years into a career and are committed to owning it today.
- Bonus: understanding of how sales, marketing, and growth teams measure success; Aidan's KPIs derive from these frameworks.
