OpenAI's Adoption, Innovation, and Transformation team for Government seeks an Enablement Lead to drive high-impact adoption and enablement of OpenAI products (ChatGPT Enterprise, Agents) across U.S. government organizations. This role combines product fluency, instructional design, customer advisory, and deep public-sector expertise to help government agencies move from exploration to confident, organization-wide AI adoption. You will design and deliver enablement experiences that support repeatable adoption frameworks, drive sustained activation, and produce measurable mission impact. Responsibilities include leading live workshops and training programs for audiences ranging from front-line public servants to senior government leaders; designing adoption interventions and structured enablement programs with clear goals and success metrics; developing government-specific learning journeys, playbooks, use cases, and training materials; serving as a subject matter expert for designated products or government mission areas; advising on workforce communications and change management strategies; and building trusted relationships with government leaders, champions, and technical teams. You will also gather and synthesize customer feedback and adoption signals to improve programs; identify patterns across government customers to develop scalable solutions; support customer communities and peer-learning experiences; partner with Sales, Customer Success, Solutions Engineering, Product, and other teams; and amplify government champions and meaningful customer outcomes. The role is based in San Francisco or Washington, DC with a hybrid model (three days in office per week). Travel to government customer sites is required. You will help government organizations understand not only what OpenAI's products can do, but how to apply them safely and effectively while respecting their missions, operating environments, and responsibilities to the public.
