Wonderschool administers the West Virginia Tri-Share Child Care Program on behalf of the State of West Virginia. Tri-Share is a cost-sharing model where participating employers contribute toward eligible employees' child care tuition, the state provides matching contributions based on household income, and employees pay the remaining balance. Wonderschool manages enrollment, billing, payments, and program support.
The Employer Engagement Manager is a field-based growth leader responsible for recruiting and enrolling West Virginia employers in Tri-Share. This is a consultative, relationship-driven sales role focused on helping businesses invest in a practical employee benefit that strengthens recruitment, retention, attendance, and workforce stability.
Key responsibilities include building and managing an employer pipeline by identifying and cultivating employers across West Virginia where child care challenges affect hiring or retention; maintaining consistent in-person presence at Rotary Club meetings, chambers of commerce, economic development authority meetings, HR gatherings, and local business events; using discovery conversations to understand workforce needs and communicate Tri-Share's value; guiding business leaders through the program model, contribution options, and administrative requirements; moving qualified employers through application and enrollment; building referral networks with chambers, EDAs, trade associations, and workforce organizations; maintaining disciplined travel and CRM records; tailoring presentations using program data and local success stories; and representing employer feedback internally to leadership teams.
Required qualifications include at least 4 years of success in employer engagement, B2B sales, partnerships, economic development, workforce development, or benefits consulting; strong appreciation for West Virginia's relationship-based business culture with established networks preferred; exceptional in-person communication skills; demonstrated consultative sales ability; comfort operating independently in a high-travel field role while managing pipelines and coordinating with remote teammates; willingness to travel frequently throughout West Virginia with valid driver's license and reliable transportation; and belief that affordable child care is a workforce and economic-development issue.
Preferred qualifications include active relationships with West Virginia employers, chambers, EDAs, Rotary Clubs, and industry groups; experience with employee benefits, public-private partnerships, child care, or workforce initiatives; and ability to use ROI, retention, or workforce data to support employer decision-making.
