Rubrik is seeking an experienced Specialist Sales Engineering Manager to lead the EMEA presales team and drive technical excellence across the region. In this role, you will manage a team of Specialist Solutions Architects, providing technical direction and business guidance while supporting EMEA revenue goals. You'll be responsible for recruiting and developing top talent, enabling architects to deliver best-in-class solutions, and driving innovative technical programs that showcase Rubrik's hyper-converged hybrid cyber resiliency platform to large enterprises.
Key responsibilities include building and maintaining relationships with account teams, partners, and technical champions across customer and prospect organizations. You will lead the hiring and development of specialist sales engineers as the team expands regional coverage. Your technical expertise will guide sales teams in designing fully integrated technology solutions that address enterprise customer needs, from architecture and design through implementation and optimization.
You'll serve as the primary technical authority on Rubrik's products, distributed architectures, cloud platforms, and competitive landscape. This includes delivering technical presentations to customer technical staff and C-level executives, acting as a trusted advisor on technology strategy, and consulting on complex business applications within assigned market segments. The role requires hands-on involvement in high-stakes opportunities, account-level activities, and day-to-day team enablement.
The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of sales engineering management experience or 10+ years of relevant customer-facing technical experience, preferably in cybersecurity, software, data center, or data protection environments. You should have deep technical knowledge of cloud data management, backup, cyber recovery, and data analytics. Success requires strong business acumen, comfort with C-suite interactions, ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, and a resourceful, entrepreneurial mindset. A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
