Salary: USD 129,000 - 171,000 / annual
Anduril Industries is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join the Manufacturing organization and design complex test automation systems for advanced defense technology products. In this role, you will design and build PCBA platforms and data acquisition systems using FPGA, MCU, and commercial off-the-shelf equipment to validate products against stringent military standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design circuits, schematics, and PCB assemblies ranging from FPGA-based data acquisition boards to MCU platform interfaces and wiring harnesses
- Integrate designs into Anduril's PDM systems following enterprise product design and release processes
- Architect and source circuit board test fixtures, combining custom designs with internally developed and commercial test equipment
- Build and maintain internal libraries of test circuits, applying DFM/DFT expertise
- Bring up, debug, and characterize circuits across low-speed interfaces (I2C, SPI, CAN) and high-speed signals (RF, memory, USB)
- Collaborate with firmware engineers on board support packages for embedded Linux and MCU RTOS platforms
- Drive continuous improvement in test automation methods, throughput, user interfaces, and data analytics
Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics or Computer Engineering; 5+ years of industry experience with products that reached manufacturing; proficiency in professional EDA tools (Altium, Cadence, PADS); strong PCBA design expertise; hands-on familiarity with test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, power supplies, data acquisition systems); PLM/PDM system experience; eligibility for U.S. Secret security clearance.
Preferred: 7+ years experience; Python scripting for automation; FPGA PCBA platform experience (RTL, synthesis, bare-metal coding); Master's degree in EE or related field; active security clearance.
