Saronic Technologies, a leader in autonomous surface vessels for maritime defense, is seeking an Editorial Manager to drive editorial strategy and content operations for the Public Relations and Communications function.
You will own the communications editorial calendar, identify compelling stories across the organization, and translate complex technical and business topics into clear, engaging narratives for external audiences. This role sits at the center of Saronic's storytelling efforts, connecting company milestones to communications opportunities and maintaining a consistent flow of high-quality content.
Key responsibilities include:
• Developing and managing the editorial calendar, identifying gaps, and proactively creating content that advances communications objectives
• Building relationships across technical, operational, business, and leadership teams to uncover stories, proof points, and customer impact
• Writing, editing, and developing thought leadership, executive communications, company stories, contributed articles, and digital content
• Partnering cross-functionally with PR, Social, Marketing, and Recruiting to translate editorial opportunities into coordinated communications
• Serving as a central coordination point across the Communications function, establishing processes and operating rhythms that improve visibility and execution
• Moving fluidly between strategic planning and tactical execution, capitalizing on timely opportunities while maintaining quality and alignment
Required: 5+ years in public relations, journalism, corporate communications, content strategy, or related field. Exceptional writing and editing skills; strong editorial judgment; ability to build relationships and source information; excellent organizational and project management skills; comfort in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
Preferred: Experience in technology, defense, aerospace, maritime, robotics, or industrial/manufacturing; journalism or newsroom background; executive thought leadership development; ability to translate technical subject matter; experience with integrated communications programs.
