Salary: USD 129,000 - 169,000 / annual
Vuori, an athletic apparel brand blending performance and casual aesthetics, is seeking an experienced District Manager to lead retail operations across New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Based in Paramus, NJ, you will oversee multiple Vuori store locations and serve as the primary ambassador for the brand in your region.
You will manage all aspects of regional retail operations, including store performance, staff development, and community engagement. Key responsibilities include:
**Leadership & People Management:** Manage Vuori stores through regular visits and development conversations. Oversee hiring for all store roles, working with General Managers to build diverse teams focused on customer connection. Foster a culture of performance feedback, coaching, and recognition aligned with company vital behaviors. Ensure HR compliance with regional labor laws and partner with the People team on employee relations issues. Develop and audit onboarding and training materials for retail teams.
**Cross-Functional Partnership:** Act as liaison between headquarters and retail stores, maintaining two-way communication to improve business and employee experience. Create pipelines for bottom-up communication of ideas, customer insights, and best practices. Partner with the New Store Opening Manager on regional store launches.
**Sales & Operations:** Own regional store performance by meeting and exceeding revenue targets. Develop short and long-term sales strategies in partnership with marketing. Ensure visual merchandising standards and brand consistency across all locations. Support General Managers with scheduling, payroll, and staffing to ensure proper coverage. Track regional P&L, identify cost-saving opportunities, and maintain store standards including merchandising, cleanliness, inventory levels, and safety compliance.
**Community:** Lead innovation in community engagement, building rapport with local clientele. Partner with General Managers as local brand ambassadors through community involvement, partnerships with local studios, gyms, teams, and athletes.
This is a high-growth retail leadership role requiring hands-on management, strategic thinking, and a commitment to operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.
**Requirements:**
- 4+ years of multi-unit retail leadership experience
- Extensive experience with P&L, POS, and CRM systems
- Expertise in human resources including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, payroll, and performance management
- Ability to build relationships, solicit cooperation, and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Obsessive approach to elevating customer experience and commitment to over-delivery
- Owner mentality: proactively identify and fix problems, continuously improve the business based on team and customer feedback
- Availability reflecting business needs, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Ability to travel up to 50%
