Rubrik is seeking a Director of Sales Engineering to lead the Sales Engineering function across the Eastern region, managing a team of Sales Engineering Managers and individual Sales Engineers who support the Strategic Account segment. This is a second-line management role with accountability for regional revenue goals, team hiring and development, and technical enablement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and expand the Strategic Sales Engineering team in the Eastern region through recruiting and hiring top SE talent and managers
- Drive regional revenue goals and account-level activities
- Provide technical leadership and direction to Sales Engineers and regional sales teams, helping them architect integrated technology solutions for customers and prospects
- Demonstrate deep technical expertise on Rubrik's hyper-converged hybrid cloud data management platform, distributed architectures, file systems, and competitive storage offerings in the SAN space
- Serve as technical expert and consultant to develop solutions meeting customer technology and business requirements
- Make technical and sales presentations to customer technical staff and senior management
- Act as trusted technology advisor internally and externally on technical issues and business applications within assigned market segments
- Build and maintain relationships with sales leaders, partners, and customers; leverage corporate resources to support team objectives
- Enable each regional team through training, mentorship, and technical program development
Required qualifications:
- 7+ years of sales engineering management experience, preferably in software or data center environments
- 5+ years of recent enterprise and strategic account experience
- Fundamental breadth of technical knowledge in cloud data management, backup and disaster recovery, and data analytics
- Driven, highly energetic with strong hands-on, "can do" approach
- Entrepreneurial mindset with willingness to go the extra mile and strong work ethic
