Step, a fintech company owned by Beast Industries (MrBeast's media and entertainment company), is seeking a Director of Product Marketing to lead and build out the product marketing and lifecycle marketing function. The company's mission is to improve the financial future of the next generation through banking and borrowing products, with a focus on Gen Z users.
In this role, you will lead go-to-market strategy, planning, and launches across Step's entire product portfolio including core banking, credit, rewards, lending, and investing. You'll own cross-functional operations between Step and Beast Industries, developing and launching collaborations, product integrations, and partnership expansions. You'll drive full-funnel lifecycle marketing strategy from awareness through retention, deliver loyalty and gamification programs at scale, and partner with the broader marketing team to execute campaigns driving signups, expansion, and product adoption.
You'll advocate for customers through research and discovery work, translating their needs to inform product roadmaps. You'll work cross-functionally with product, design, customer support, and engineering teams, focusing on down-funnel conversion and retention. You'll oversee annual and quarterly planning to drive growth across the customer lifecycle and build, develop, and mentor a product marketing team including lifecycle marketers.
The ideal candidate has 8+ years of marketing experience with 5+ years in product marketing, preferably in a startup environment. You should have B2C tech and consumer app product marketing experience, comfort with a player-coach role, and experience managing a nascent product marketing/lifecycle marketing team. Strong written communication, analytical mindset, and data-driven decision-making are essential. The role reports to the Chief Marketing Officer and offers the opportunity to shape Step's trajectory as it scales significantly with Beast Industries' distribution and brand behind it.
