NMI is a global leader in payment technologies that enables software and sales professionals to deliver payment innovations to their clients. As Director of Product Management for Value Added Solutions, you will own the strategy, roadmap, and P&L for this high-growth business line, reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer. Value Added Solutions is one of NMI's fastest-growing product areas. Partners increasingly demand capabilities beyond payment processing—tools to help merchants run and grow their businesses—delivered through platforms they already use. This role is largely a build opportunity in a fast-moving space with real revenue goals and expanding partner demand. You will own the complete portfolio end-to-end: deciding which products earn continued investment, which new ones are worth launching, how they reach market through NMI's partner channel (6,000+ ISOs and ISVs), and what each contributes to the bottom line. You'll make disciplined choices about what to build, buy, or partner on, backed by substantiated business cases with clear revenue targets, margin expectations, and adoption metrics. Key responsibilities include: owning the product vision and multi-year roadmap; driving business development and channel growth through build/buy/partner decisions; ranking opportunities by upside, effort, and speed to market; building ROI and revenue projections for every decision; working with Sales and Marketing to drive adoption and cross-sell; establishing tight feedback loops with frontline teams; leading products across functions (Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Legal, Finance, Support); partnering with Engineering on architecture and operational readiness; owning a repeatable launch playbook; managing third-party vendor contracts; developing deep understanding of partner and merchant use cases; staying current on market trends and competitive positioning; serving as a thought leadership advocate; participating in planning cadences; building and developing a team of Product Managers and Designers; and actively using AI tools in your workflow while coaching your team to do the same. You will be hands-on: joining customer calls, negotiating with partners, working with engineers, collaborating across functions, and making hard product calls when needed. This is a player/coach role where you write strategy documents and still review acceptance criteria and participate in UAT. REQUIREMENTS: - 8+ years in product management with at least 5 years in payments or financial services - At least 3 years managing a geographically distributed team of PMs, with a track record of developing talent in a fast-paced, high-performance business unit - Hands-on experience owning a portfolio of products (not single feature sets), including data-driven decisions to build, buy, partner, or sunset - Experience building prioritization frameworks and ROI-based business cases - Demonstrated track record building and growing revenue-generating products: defining pricing, owning product P&L, driving partner GTM execution, connecting product decisions to revenue impact - Experience owning commercial relationships with third-party vendors or technology partners, including contract negotiation and performance management - Player/coach mentality: you remain hands-on while leading strategically - Strong commercial instincts connecting every product decision to revenue impact, partner growth, merchant volume, and customer satisfaction - Deep experience working directly with customers (personas, jobs to be done, feedback loops) and using data-driven insights to inform prioritization - Exceptional execution skills with bias toward action; ability to operate in ambiguity and adapt rapidly - Fluent with AI tools for product work; daily user who expects team to do the same - Exceptional communicator comfortable presenting three-year vision to C-suite, walking partners through product details, and representing NMI at conferences PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Experience launching products through ISO, ISV, or reseller channels - Experience integrating third-party technology into a platform and taking it to market under your own brand - Experience leading a product through corporate acquisition, including integration strategy and platform consolidation - SaaS or B2B embedded finance background - MBA or equivalent experience in high-growth fintech
