Delinea is seeking a strategic, hands-on Director of People Business Partner to serve as the primary people advisor to the EVP of Product & Technology and AI leadership. This is a pivotal role as the Product & Technology organization transitions to a General Manager (GM) operating model, with the EVP leading three specialized GMs.
Key Responsibilities:
GM Operating Model Design: Partner with the EVP and three General Managers to design and embed the new GM operating model. Define decision rights across GMs, the EVP, and shared functions to clarify accountability and accelerate decision-making. Design how each GM business interfaces with shared functions (Engineering Platform, Product Ops, Finance, People) including governance forums and escalation paths. Adapt org design, talent, and performance practices to support the GM model, including span-and-layer design, leadership roles, succession planning, goal setting, and performance/rewards alignment. Lead the people-side change management, including sequencing, leader readiness, communications, and adoption metrics.
Enterprise People Strategy: Translate GM transformation learnings into repeatable principles, playbooks, and tools for decision rights, org design, and performance practices. Partner with the Global PBP team and People Centers of Excellence (Talent, Total Rewards, People Ops) to scale these approaches across the organization. Act as thought partner to the VP of Global PBPs on enterprise org effectiveness and help build org design capability across the PBP team.
Strategic Partnership & Advisory: Serve as trusted advisor to P&T and AI leaders. Convert business priorities into comprehensive people plans covering org design, talent strategy, and culture. Lead org design reviews, span-and-layer assessments, and headcount planning. Anticipate how AI adoption reshapes roles, skills, and team structures.
Talent & Leadership Development: Run talent reviews, succession planning, and calibration processes. Identify and retain critical engineering and product talent. Coach senior leaders and managers on team effectiveness, performance management, and organizational change. Build leadership capability across the organization.
Operational People Functions: Handle complex employee relations matters with sound judgment, collaborating with Legal and People COEs. Partner with Total Rewards on technical career frameworks, leveling, offers, and annual pay/performance cycles. Leverage people data (attrition, engagement, hiring speed, org health) to identify trends and drive decisions. Act on engagement survey results to build an inclusive, high-performing engineering culture.
